The cause of migraines many times is a dysfunction of the C1-C2-C3 nerves due to a misalignment of the cervical spine. This may be due to falls, injuries, accidents, traumatic birth, etc. That misalignment causes the cervical vertebrae to stimulate the nociceptors (nerve terminals sensitive to pain) that send information to the brain about pain.
